What the loop does
Upload manuscript
Paste text or import DOCX / PDF. Nassila extracts structure, in-text citations, and the References section.
Resolve cited sources
For each cite, run L1/L2 registry checks. Fetch registry abstracts, Europe PMC text, or Unpaywall open-access HTML where available.
Run audit
When Passage grounding is enabled, Sanad (L3) compares your passage around each cite to the source excerpt and returns structured verdicts with quotes.
Review and export
Read mismatch cards, grounding panels, and inline Tasnif / Sharh copy. Export bibliography or audit summary when ready.

The cited-sources table lists each in-text citation. Expand a row for detail:

Coverage labels
- Abstract only — No OA full text; Sanad used the registry abstract.
- Open-access full text — Europe PMC or Unpaywall supplied HTML/JATS (may be chunk-selected).
- Source text unavailable — No abstract and no OA text; L3 is limited.
Sanad bar
At the top of the manuscript view:
- Toggle — enable/disable grounding for this session
- Tier chip — E4B (default) or 12B (quality)
- Setup / Configure — Sanad modal and Passage grounding settings

Unpaywall email
Settings → General → Manuscript source fetch — one-time email for Unpaywall OA lookups. Stored locally only; not university paywall login.
